Description:

Every panel mounted means hundreds or even thousands of new attachment points punched through the one system designed to keep water out, and most solar-related roof failures aren't electrical. They are leaks. While your solar contractor designs and installs the array, Nations Roof ensures every roof penetration is professionally flashed and sealed to manufacturer standards, preserving the integrity of the roofing system and protecting the warranty.

Across your portfolio, solar installations are expanding, and every panel that gets mounted means something new punched through your roof's membrane. The very system designed to keep water out. A single commercial solar installation can require hundreds or even thousands of roof attachment points. And every one represents an opening that must be properly sealed and protected. Most solar related roof failures aren't electrical; they're leaks at the penetrations.

When the solar installer and the roofer are two different companies, one leak can become a finger pointing problem and avoided warranty. That's where Nation's Roof comes in. While your solar contractor designs and installs Z array, our team ensures every roof penetration is professionally flashed and sealed to manufacturer standards, helping preserve the integrity of the roofing system and protect the warranty. Backed by an industry leading EMR for safety, Over forty locations with over one hundred crews nationwide holding one national standard.

FAQs

Can solar panels go on my existing roof?

Sometimes, the roof has to earn it. Panels typically stay in place for 25 years or more, so the roof underneath needs at least that much life left. We evaluate the roof first, and in many cases the smartest move is to re-roof and install solar together, so both systems age on the same clock.

Will installing solar void my roof warranty?

It can, and this is the risk most owners miss. Most solar failures are not electrical. They are penetrations through the membrane, and if a separate solar company makes them, your roofing warranty is on the line. When one certified contractor installs both, every penetration is flashed correctly and the warranty stays intact.

What happens if the roof leaks after panels go up?

With two vendors, a leak becomes a finger-pointing problem. The solar installer blames the roofer, the roofer blames the installer, and you are stuck in the middle. With one partner responsible for the whole assembly, there is one call to make and one company accountable for the fix.
